Can you tell me how long you’ve been working at M&C and what your role is?
I have been working at M&C for just over two years. I began as a Marketing Intern whilst I completed my Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney. In my current role as Client Services (and LinkedIn) Manager, I have been responsible for supporting all aspects of our client work, from creating and developing social media posts, event logistics, digital content support and more. I have been trained in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and also in how to manage media relationships and write engaging pitches to promote client news or thought leadership pieces.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical day for me begins with a coffee run for myself and my family, before settling in to review work and emails. During my lunch break, I squeeze in a gym session – this helps to break up my day; keeping me focused and motivated for the rest of the day.
What’s your view like from your desk?
Usually this! 😀
Do you have any pets? How many? What are their names?
Growing up in regional New South Wales, I have always had pets – this ranged from the family golden retriever, to ponies, to a multitude of guinea pigs and chooks. Now, I have one dog and one horse – which is more than enough! I got Elsie, a rescue greyhound, just over three years ago when she was given up by her trainer after only running one race – she is now a professional lounge lizard, who spends most of her day lying behind me on my bed while I work. I also have an off-the-track thoroughbred who was also given up by his previous owner after being unsuited to racing. Leo is a big (very big) teddy bear who enjoys cuddles and snacks.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Usually, my ideal day off starts with a morning gym session and a coffee, before going for a long walk with Elsie the greyhound and my family. I will then drive out to where my horse lives which is about 30 minutes away from my house, and I start by brushing him before going for a ride. Depending on the weather, I might either go back home to relax with a book (always a fiction thriller for me!) or go trout fishing with my partner, who fancies himself a pro-fisherman, having won one competition last year.
