The M&C team is proud to have supported Stepping Stone House’s recent ‘Sleep Under the Stars’ event on Friday 7th October, which raised over $15k for Sydney’s homeless and at-risk youth.
The event was a tremendous success, with a variety of corporate teams, families and young people working together to build elaborate cardboard box ‘homes’ for the night and experience what it’s like to be homeless – something that has been a reality for many of the youth at SSH. Throughout the night, participants enjoyed a musical performance and an inspiring speech from one of SSH’s young people, whose life was transformed when she was taken in by SSH and given guidance, care and educational opportunities.
“Words cannot express how grateful we are to everyone who slept rough this year for our worthy cause,” said Jason Juretic, CEO of Stepping Stone House.
“This year’s Sleep Under the Stars was even bigger and better than the previous year. We raised enough funds to provide a safe home, life skills and educational development for six young people for a whole year! Thankyou and see you at next year’s event on Friday 27th Oct 2017.”
In 2017, M&C will continue to provide pro-bono support for SSH through brand strategy work, social media promotion, press release development and media opportunities.
