More about Denny Prayoga

What do you do at M&C, and how long have you been with us?

I joined M&C in July 2021, so it has been two years. Initially, I was hired as a Motion Graphic Designer, but because I have abilities in other areas, I also handle photography and videography across the board.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

When I arrive at the office, I check my inbox and messages to see what new requests have come in. Then I work through my priorities, which may include anything from working on creating graphics and animations or editing footage or photos to creating final outputs that wow clients.

What other skills do you have that you are proud of?

I am proud of my beatboxing skills. I have performed at various events and collaborated with other musicians and artists. Beatboxing is a great way to express my creativity and connect with others who share a passion for music.

In 2014, I had the opportunity to represent my country, Indonesia, at a cultural festival at Republic Polytechnic, where I met students from other countries. It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to develop new skills and make new friends worldwide.

What are some of your main hobbies?

I love anything that’s related to photos and videos. I’m constantly capturing images and footage, whether for personal projects or work, and I spend a lot of time researching new equipment and techniques. I also experiment with different settings and angles to create the perfect shot or video clip. Photography and videography have helped me develop a keen eye for composition and visual storytelling and, in turn, strong attention to detail. I’m a bit of an introvert, and images and videos are a great way of expressing my emotions.

Do you have an interesting fact about you that you’d like to share?

I collect old cameras! I have a passion for using cameras to capture images and videos and collecting them as valuable and interesting objects. My collection includes several old cameras, such as the Lumix DMC FX30 from 2007, the Sony Handycam CCD TRV 107E PAL (which still uses cassette tapes), and a Casio Exilim M1 camera from 2002 that is still new and unused. Collecting old cameras reflects my curiosity about the evolution of photography and how cameras have been designed over the years. My collection allows me to explore different technologies and eras of the craft and adds another dimension to my passion for photography and videography.
