More about Fahmi Sugandi

Can you tell me how long you’ve been working at M&C and what your role is?

I have been with M&C for over three years now, starting out as a Graphic Designer. During my first year, I also took on web development and SEO projects, showcasing the breadth of my skill set. Over time, I have taken on several different roles within the company, using my expertise to progress to my current position as the Creative and Digital Services Director, where I lead a team of creative professionals.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

As the Head of Digital and Design, a significant part of my responsibility involves reviewing and managing the work of my team to ensure that we adhere to the company’s house style and maintain consistency in all our projects as well as brainstorming and doing some research for new ideas and best practices. I take pride in exceeding client expectations, and I work tirelessly to ensure that our work meets their requirements and preferences. To stay on top of my tasks, I start my day early, checking my email inbox and Microsoft Teams for updates and preparing a to-do list to prioritise my work for the day. This practice has helped me manage my workload efficiently, enabling me to meet project deadlines while still delivering high-quality work.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

When I have a day off, I prioritise spending quality time with my family, especially my son. We love to visit the local playground, where my son can run around, play and have fun. Additionally, I enjoy playing games as a way to relax and unwind. I believe that taking time to recharge and enjoy leisure activities helps me stay energised and focused when I return to work.

Are you a morning person or a night person?

I would describe myself as a night person, as I tend to be more productive and focused during the quieter hours of the night. I find that a calm and silent environment allows me to concentrate better on my tasks and complete them efficiently. When working on important projects, I try to eliminate any distractions around me to ensure that I can give my full attention to the task at hand.

What kind of media are you interested in (reading, movies, music, podcasts. Etc). What genre do you like best?

Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, and I am particularly drawn to comics, novels, and game lore. I have a keen interest in time travel and stories that explore alternate worlds or dimensions. Currently my favorites are, Tales of Demons and Gods by Mad Snail, Overgeared by Park Saenal, and Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World by Tappei Nagatsuki. These genres provide a fascinating insight into the possibilities of the unknown and offer an escape from reality. I find that immersing myself in these fictional worlds is not only entertaining but also expands my imagination and broadens my perspective.
